I've been using a Rhino hand grinder since June, and was getting pretty good results (with a moka pot). But then about a month ago, things really went downhill - a persistent sour after taste. It took me quite a while to trace the problem back to the grinder, which admittedly I had barely cleaned. However, even after a few really good cleans, soaking in warm water, scrubbing with toothbrush etc, there is still more than hint of sourness. This doesn't arise when I use my crappy old electric grinder, but it does arise after hand grinding, no matter what brew method I use.
So: help! What can I do to really properly clean the burr bits of the grinder?
