So, after having this issue with my 800 years ago, and then upgrading to a 820 and seeing breville had improved the design of the impeller (metal jacket basically) I thought this problem would be fixed but no, my 820 has suffered the same problem. I have since bought a new grinder (eureka mignon specialita) but want to fix the breville as a back up grinder.
I've come across this part on amazon (not sure if the link is allowed)
Impresa Grinder Impeller fits Breville Grinder BCG820BSS Smart Grinder Pro & More - Fix Jams in Your Coffee Maker with Burr Grinder - Impresa Impeller Replacement Breville Grinder Parts: Coffee Grinders: Amazon.com.au
Has anyone else used this part to fix the 820? There is conflicting info in the advert. The text says it suits the 820 and the pictures are of an 820 grinder, however there is another picture displaying the grinders that it suits, and the 820 is not listed.
Just a bit cautious about buying it as I'm pretty sure the same part can't suit both the 800 and 820.
Can anyone shed some light on this, or offer an alternative to repair my 820. This is the only replacement impeller option that has shown up with my searching.
