i cant speak for that particular combo but using something similar the downside is retention when single dosing even with a good brush its not good, it doesnt bother me but i dont put expensive filter beans in my mazzer. alternatively u could also just use the hopper and purge some grinds every time. I use a mazzer mini which is smaller but more or less the same design. if its your dedicated filter grinder u should keep an eye on fellow ode grinder prices as opposed to buying a SJ specifically for filter.

Disclaimer: I don't have that set up. Once you align the burrs, retention would be the biggest downside. If you sort that you should be getting near identical grind quality to anything else running those burrs at the same speed. Grind setting repeatability would be another potential downside.

Anyone is running Super Jolly + SSP multipurpose for pourovers?
I was thinking this combo will be doable but interested to know what is the downside. Thinking this is great if I want to do espresso once in a while.
I suppose DF64 is an option or save up for P64. Going p64 though makes me feel better to save up to something like Tanzania.
happy enough for grinder to live in the garage as I have the niche living indoors
