You took the words out of my mouth. I love the concept, quality and look of the Key but I am concerned about the potential for the shaft to go out of alignment during transportation. I'm sure that most Keys arrive in perfect condition but there seem to be a significant minority that don't.
That said, I'm awaiting the arrival of a Malwani Livi which also features a long shaft. Crossing fingers.

I’ve wondered this, too. I can’t help but think that Option-O will have something like this on the cards in the future. They’re putting a lot of work into the burr design of the mini, which is conical too.
I’d feel much more confident with a design like the HSM than something with a long shaft and fiddly workflow like the Key…

I bought one of those a few years back. I really like it. It was from the era when Option_O was known as Helor.
I seem to recall having seen a rumour that Option_O was going to make some more this year.
I suggest an email to Hayden for the proper narrative.

HSM Electric Coffee Grinder
I was looking for 83mm conical burr grinder alternatives to the Key and came across a review of this grinder on Home Barista.mc
Seems that at its core is a hand grinder made by Helor Stance and in conjunction with Option-O it was later converted into an electric grinder.
No one seems to be selling it though so I have no idea of the price and so I assume that it is no longer available.
There was a thread previously on CS but it seems to have petered out https://coffeesnobs.com.au/forum/equ...ce-motor/page4
Think JMcCee you were going to buy one? Still got it?
Does anyone have any updated information on it?
Thanks.
