Would the Mazzer Mini be considered an upgrade from the K3? From the specs I think it has slightly larger flat burrs.

But you said the Niche was out of range? You can get it direct from Niche in that range, including taxes / customs.

Yes, I think you are correct.... I just want something that grinds on demand (doserless) without fancy electronics. Can't seem to find anything in the $1000 - $1200 range? Something better than the K3 for grinding for great espresso. Thanks

It's a very personal preference sort of thing to be honest.
Best way to find out which you prefer is to head to one of our Site Sponsors such Casa Espresso above, and ask them if they could make you a coffee, using the same beans, on each type of grinder. That way you'll get to decide which you prefer, not what one of us prefers...

    Hey Adam,

They're a brand that comes from the same parent company that makes Mahlkonig grinders. Have a chat to Antony Casa Espresso as he stocks them and can give you his opinion.

64mm burr-sets (and maybe even 83mm) gives you more options when/if you decide to try different burr geometries, so would be a good move from that perspective...

And the NZ do come up for sale here near new for 1,000 or a bit less.

Preferably 64mm burrs, as I have 58mm already. Not sure if bigger is better, but want to make sure the upgrade is worthwhile. Thanks

Yes, medium to dark espresso is usually the go to. Unfortunately Niche Zero is a bit above my pay grade. ?
