So, I finally got around to finishing the batter funnel mod to my Robur and thought I’d share my interpretation of it.
I fitted the funnel a year or two back and ran it with a “proof of concept” momentary switch to see how well it would work. I used the microswitch from the hopper and rigged up a plastic lever to press the portafiter against to operate it. ie. turn the side switch on and push.
It all worked well, so I eventually found a suitable push switch, drilled a hole and fitted it. It’s neater and a little easier to use than the temporary one.
With speed of the Robur, using the clunky, side mounted on/off switch isn’t a great option, especially for a quick purge.
