I was going to write up a whole review about it just because I didn’t see many reviews on it. But I got lazy. If there’s any interest I may post something up when I get a chance.
I like it though. I was also reconsidering if I’d made the wrong choice not going for a specific single dose grinder, but I’m content now.

Thanks for the advice, I will keep my grinder and maybe put a small hopper. Love the bean cellars what a great idea

tompoland mentioned, if you do go for a hopper style grinder, only load up what you need for the day. This is what i did when i had the Mazzer Kony S and it worked an absolute treat. Though depending on the grinder, the retention can be a little high, so my first shot the next morning would be a throw away to be sure any left over grounds are gone.
With single dose, no need to worry about that, but workflow is a little longer. I use bean cellars all loaded up and ready to go to speed things up

Single dose is easier for maintaining peak flavour for longer because it reduces the amount of time that beans are exposed to air. But if you load your current machine with only enough beans for say 2 days worth of coffee, and simply top up each day, that should work just fine.

Any opinions: Should I get a single-dose grinder? I am departing from Espresso to pour over and I have a Eureka Specalita

I have a E37SD that I’m selling cause I got a Weber key. Both are sensational grinders tho.

tompoland, diamond ring or pearl necklace, think of all the coffee gear that would buy! LOL
I think my licence for buying whatever "we must have" for coffee consumption has expired with my wife. One of the grinders will have to go, but I would love to keep the two side by side to compare the differences with the same beans on the same day. At the moment the Ceado still produces the best cup, but I would have to give time for the Key's burrs to season fully to give a fair comparison

I have been using a Ceado E37SD for just over 12 months now, and love it’s consistent grind. I start my morning with a double shot espresso, and the flavour and mouth feel have been excellent. The grinder is also a well made solid piece of equipment. I have never used the Niche, but have recently received a Weber Key, which I bought during the initial crowdfunding last year. Although I am happy with the Key, and more so my wife, as I can now give back a little more kitchen bench, at this point the flavour of my shots don’t seem to be as good as with the Ceado, more so the Ethiopian beans. If you do decide on the Ceado as your choice, l will be advertising the grinder here on CS as it looks as if the Key will now have to stay, and I will be in trouble with my wife if I try and keep both!Last edited by bodgy; 20 August 2022, 04:13 PM.
