Someone asked the original designer about the settings, his response was he used the default setting for the filament he purchased, sainsmart TPU default setting in Prusaslicer.

Yeah I gave it two goes and it failed at about 1cm high just after printing the lid, the side walls of the bellows are way to thin. This is on quite a good printer a Prusa MK3S.
I am crap at the CAD stuff but if someone can edit the Thingiverse model and make the walls 5mm thick I think it would be a decent model. I had a look at the model in Fusion 360 but my skills are non existent.

I bought a reel of TPU from eBay and has asked my friend to print this exact bellow for the Fellow Ode.. .. so far he said the print has failed 3 times even after tweaking various settings.. if anyone had success would love to get some tips

there is a video from brian quan on youtube that shows him playing with a bellows for the ode
in the video he mentions that a regular round bellows will still work - just needs to go over the anti popcorn shield

Different sizes of stubby coolers also do a reasonable job, cheap as and readily available...

Your local big green hardware store sells a kinetic sink plunger. It’s small. It fits most grinders. It blasts coffee like a mofo and is under $10.

Depending on costs being significantly below $100 I might also be interested. Might make it easier to get 2 done?

I have used TreatStock which was reasonable and a pretty good experience. This platform is just and aggregation of 3D printer businesses/individuals who will print on consignment.
If you want to send me a PM I can have a crack at printing you a bellows. I would just charge materials cost, plus post, plus a coffee for my time. I have some black TPU which would probably work for bellows.
TPU is very difficult to print and another option is to see if you can get a molded one off Etsy.

Would a 3d version be as flexible? I haven't had much 3d printing done but the stuff I've seen would be far too rigid...

Not sure if we can post these types of links but I guess they are not sponsor competing - have had some coffee stuff printed by these guys and been happy.

that should say “well over $100”Originally posted by crazyhakins View PostI’d like to get a bellows printed for my Ode. I have the schematic for the rectangle version, I think it was jkim makes who came up with it. I got a quote for well over $10”, was just wondering if anyone had used a printing service before with good results. Would like to know it will work before dropping $$ on it.
It seems they all post so I don’t mind location.
