Hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a relatively new Eureka Specialita and I use it primarily as a single dosing unit. I'm just curious to others doing the same thing what their grind is like because at the moment I'm struggling to get 20g in and 40g out in 33 seconds including 7 seconds pre infusion. I cant get any finer because the burrs start touching and am not sure if this is normal or not. I thought a grinder like this should easily choke a Breville Dual Boiler even when single dosing but mine is nowhere near it. Any thoughts? The beans are fresh too btw.

Dutch I wonder if your burrs aren't aligned (parallel)? This would stop it being able to grind fine enough. Google 'coffee grinder marker test', easy to do and no cost, just takes half an hour of your time.

I have the specialita set up as a single dose grinder and I have never, not, been able to grind as fine as I need. I have the Etsy single dosing funnel and bellows. I roast my own beans and am grinding a number of different beans at any one time. I do have flow control on my profitec pro 700 so I can adjust the flow if the grind is slightly too fine/coarse.
