Not in my American model at least.

no it doesnt. i think using a plug adaptor would be easier, at least that's what I do with USA/EU plugs on machines I use here in Australia.

Does anyone know what the differences are between this and the hopper version? Is it a purely workflow?

Enjoyable review, thank you- if only to address my cognitive dissonance as I bought one yesterday while looking at other grinders. Haven’t ‘lifted the lid’ on the frame but do notice the thin sheet metal on sides contribute to the sound (echo chamber), and whether it would be easy enough to install adhesive sound deadening mat (like for car doors) inside the frame. It’s 0.2-0.4mm thick and maybe a cheap hack to address.

I'm wondering if it's a horses for courses thing eg. perhaps Sprom is more espresso inclined like me and the other two are notably more light roast and pour over afficiandos?

    Tongue in cheek perhaps?

It would be hard to find a video review that's not subjective. These are opinion pieces after all. Opinions being subjective.

And that's almost the whole point of publishing a video review: to offer an opinion and to help/influence a buying desicion one way or another.

Then again, I am probably missing the point you are trying to make. Wouln't be the first time on this forum.

    Hi shadow745

I am not sure if your comment is a subtle dig or a genuine question /comment. I am off to watch the shopping channel on TV.

I can understand that. I also watched the smometheus video and was surprised that he didn’t rave about the burrs like Brian Quan and Lance Hendrik.
I wonder if the Ditting burrs in the Olimpia are of a similar profile to the 80mm Ditting lab sweets.
Why get caught up watching subjective videos to possibly influence a buying decision?

You are welcome. Short answer is no. I was looking to buy the lab sweet to test but I was put off by a spometheus review (youtube) who didn't think it delivered on the promise of a sweeter or more flavorsome espresso. That was after I bought the first Moxa SD and was so impressed with the Ditting burrs. Other than that, can't help you sorry.
Working...
