Re: Re-grinding?
the best way to set your grinder is to grind only enough to manually dose the group handle, then after feeling the grind run it through your machine, if its not ok make an adjustment and have another go. In between adjustments i tend to throw a little of the wrong setting and new setting out just so i know the new groind is only in the group handle.

Re: Re-grinding?
It would clog the grinding plates/burrs with coffee particles, which would cause the motor to stall. If you didnt notice it early enough, you would end up with a burnt out motor. Very stinky and very expensive.

Re: Re-grinding?
Duly noted. Thanks for the quick response.
...what would happen, anyway? Just clog the thing up or something?

Re: Re-grinding?
Only if youre planning on purchasing a new grinder real soon. Dont do it!Originally posted by salem link=1220599633/0#0 date=1220599633Im expecting a loud no! and a slap upside the head for asking this, but I thought Id ask anyway.
Say you grind up some beans and the setting wasnt fine enough. Is it ok to just set the grinder finer and pour the ground beans back in the top again?
In case its relevant, Im using a Sunbeam EM0480.
cheers.
