  • which eureka mignon grinder is best paired with a breville bambino?

i can’t seem to decide which grinder to get from the eureka mignon range!

i’m looking only at the lower price range ones. they vary from $500-$750 AUD and i know that the specialita is very popular but is it worth it instead of the cheaper manuale? and how do they vary to the silenzio or classico?

here are the prices of the machines i’m choosing from…
this site has lots of sales currently. prices vary between stores but this gives you a general idea. from cheapest to most expensive:

eureka mignon manuale = $499 AUD (was $525)
eureka mignon classico = $569 AUD (was $649)
eureka mignon silenzio = $629 AUD (was $795)
    eureka mignon specialita 55 = $709 AUD (was $999)

help! i know how important a grinder is, and i would hate to regret my choice.

ps: any recs for sites to buy these from?

    thanks

    Hi ppippagrace, welcome to forum
If you don't need all the bells and whistles, then I would stick to the Manuale.
I've owned a Eureka Mignon for 9 years now, long before the range expanded to the current offerings.
It's a rock solid work horse, and does what's it's designed to do day after day without any fuss.
Combined with fresh roasted coffee beans, its a good match for any setup.
Regarding retailers, a good place to start would be to click on the "Quote" tab above, which will open up a form which you can complete and it will be submitted to all site sponsors.
    Where are you located?
Good luck and enjoy the upgrade.
    Cheers,
    Mal

I would go with the best you can afford. I have a specialita which is paired with a Profitec pro 700 and so I would suggest when you get upgraditis (from an appliance to a machine) the specialita can be paired with most higher end machines. For a few extra $ you can purchase bellows to make it an excellent single dose grinder.

I would also check the coffee hardware for sale section as Eureka Mignon grinders come up for sale fairly regularly as they are popular. I myself will be selling a white Specialita 55 in the coming days as I'm upgrading.

Welcome Pippa. You have the right idea spending the bulk of your budget on the grinder. One thing to consider if there are likely to be others sleeping in the household when you make coffee is the Silenzio may be worthwhile to save noise hassles

Any will be fine. Especially if using just for one brew method as the only issue I've had with mine is they're not great for moving between pour over and espresso.

I owned a bambino plus and paired it with specialita.
As others said, buy the one you can afford. Specialita is nice given you have the capability of seeing and adjusting on 0.1 second basis, if your workflow is not a single dose style. And I believe specialita 55 has a slightly bigger burr size than manualle?
