Got my grinder today. This looks just like the mazzer they have at the  charcoal chicken shop I go to. It works great and is built like a Tank. But is it big! It is huge. Probably overkill for my needs.I will have a longer play tomorrow when I have more time, but the grinder is much more quieter than the sunbeam 0480 and no static, even though my sunbeam has been modified it still produces static.
Thanks Chris for supplying such a good value machine.I will get some pics tomorrow.

    Marty.
    Thrilled to hear that Marty!

You can retrofit a super short (or standard) mini hopper to your grinder if you wish...

    Enjoy!

The Grinder cost me $550 plus postage $20 but the offer was for a bulk buy,  only I snapped one up. But if you really want one and you ring or PM Chris at Talk Coffee he may be able to help you out, but I would only be guessing.
The discount Chris offered in this sale was huge and he may not offer that again.

    Hi all,

The level of interest in this one was....martybean. ECA offered a bulk buy discount which I passed on to CSers- assuming a few would sell with a tiny profit (ho hum- some you win- some not)..but no go so I wont be offering them again.

Let us know what you think of this not so little powerhouse marty...

    Chris

those days are already here in some ways or should i say in some factories

i have a mate in San Francisco that is an instrument designer, the mob he works for has their own factory in China, IF you have control over the workforce and set in practice exactly how you want things done, then thats what you will get BUT if you leave it up to them to copy you something then thats when the corners can start being cut if your not watching
when i was there a few years back he started the ball rolling on re-issued Recording King banjos and these have since become the best bang for buck banjo on the market

Did I miss something here? I cant find any other discussion on these. When did they come in? Are they still around? A price even? Not listed anywhere in the TC thread or website.
It was listed in the TC sponser thread. I assume its gone because the offer is now closed. I think pre-orders finished on 18 Sept, so there would be no reason to continue to list it there. Grinder is new and hasnt been offered before, but Im sure that well get more info/reviews once people begin receiving their orders. Im not sure if this was a once-off or if Talk Coffee are planning on carrying them in future.

They look similar to the Mazzer

    My future mind tells me
When the powerhouse of Asian manufacturers gets the tooling and quality on the mark then “watch out world”

    Remember
Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan (formally Datsun)
Now known for reliability quality and value
