ID:	942957 This is from Jetblack and may help. The part I was talking about is under the hopper and screws downward to get the burrs closer. Hopefully you can interpret from your photos to this

Thanks, that’s helpful. I can’t copy the image to post here but tbh it does not illustrate where you are talking about

Hi Phil, It is a bit hard without seeing the photo but I had one and the large collar is turned by a brass screw, which then has threads screwing the burrs closer. The teeth of mine on the edge of the collar (where they meshed with the brass screw) would deform under pressure in one spot. This usually happened when going fine due to the combined friction of the threads. The replacement top/large collar was about $40 from Jetblack Espresso. I also applied silicone spray to the threads.

Of course with no photos and a second hand description this may or may not be the problem.

There is a PL043 grinder on my local sale site which the seller describes as “…grind adjustment housing jams when tightening into fine setting.
Feels as if its cross threading but its not.”
I don’t know if this is a real fault or just user error. They show a picture of the threads which look fine.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this issue?
