For the sake of clarity, based on my post above of the email from Option-O, this appears to be a relacement for the P100, with the same 98mm burr set but also with the option of an additional or alternative burr set, yet to be identified.
It's a big grinder (see pic below comparing footprint to a Niche Duo which is a large grinder.)
Depending on price, previous model P100s may depreciate or appreciate in value.
i just found it interesting as the letter posted earlier says same 98mm burrs but more choices and now this.
I just love the whole lets guess what they may be doing.
It could be the opening where beans are fed is bigger or where the burrs are mounted is larger?
That doesn’t seem particularly efficient to have two slightly different, but not the same, burr sizes… I wonder why they’re making a slight change? I wonder what else will be involved?
Maybe you need two JohnA - one for brew, one for espresso. That’s the only way to know whether the P100 has been outclassed… “You” would have the best coffee bar around
yeah I was so close to pulling the trigger on the P100 but now I"m just hanging out for this one. Even the PF stand is appealing to me
98mm conical would be insane... surely not...
