Re: Eurolab Rotisserie Oven as a roaster?
I actually have a Breville Pronto BNIB if you want to play. I was going to use it before I got the Hottop and hadnt got around to ferralbaying it.
It would make for an be an easier conversion as the drum can be horizontal but the Eurolab is a twin Vertical roaster. Basic plan was to shift the lower two elements to the rear of the drum (so the chaff didnt catch fire) and make a BBQ type drum and removable chaff tray for the bottom.
Breville on Special was $130 BTW from the Good Guys

Re: Eurolab Rotisserie Oven as a roaster?
There was someone Stateside who took one of these roasters, added a halogen lamp to the window (because it was too slow with just the elements) and was selling them as a coffee roaster.
I dont know how well it worked and have forgotten what they were caled but they did exist a few years ago.

Check out this post http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1163640688
It isnt too dissimilar to using a BBQ but i wonder how it handles the smoke and chaff while roasting.
