I never imagined I would ever roast my own coffee
    I said that once too.
Me too.. Too messy and time comsuming etc etc..

Now that I have a HT.... I am just getting into it..

Single origin at present and enjoying the different outcomes..

Am concerned that until I get a temp logger and stop looking at what I am doing all the time... My record keeping is just a bunch of notes that I can not read, a day later.

Too interested in watching what is going on and learning about the HT...

At some stage I will make a couple of batches and then attempt to do a blend... Or just be laze and buy beans that are suitable as a true single batch process.

Problem is I have tended to do 250g batches and by the time they have rested for 4 - 5 days I am using them and not enough left to do any thing other than grind and drink...

AM after seeing my roaster in the flesh
I thought you wanted to build a roaster like my Turbo Roaster
Small batches are not a problem or you could roast 600 grams of greens so you dont run out of beans to quickly

          Re: Roasting your own

I currently use a corretto and i find best results from roasting 500gm batches but currently our coffee consumption is down due to the current diet me and the war dept. are on so i think i will look at KKs project and see if i can make it and try smaller batches with that system.

No problem... I will be there early but not able to stay to the end as I have strict instructions as to managing Time and making sure my daughter does not burn out..
