Re: Turbo Roaster
Congratulations on a job well done Gra
Cant wait to see some roast results from this little beauty
With its easy to use, easy to roast design you wont have to much trouble
A quick heads up on how to use
Pre Heat the roast chamber while setting up for the roast 5-10 min
Start with 300gr of green beans and increase the weight on subsequent roasts until you find the limit of your roaster
Temperature guide for preheated roaster and no thermocouple
Pour in beans & start at 220 deg C for aprox 7 minutes
Increase temp to full 250 deg C until FC (2 to 3 minutes later)
Leave it on 250 deg C for approx 2 minutes after FC and reduce heat to 220 deg C
You should hear SC in 4 to 5 min after FC
Turn the heat dial to thaw /clean setting for the remainder of the roast while visually checking the bean colour
When you are satisfied dump and cool
If you have problems with temp settings or time settings give me a shout and I will see If I can help you through it

Re: Turbo Roaster
Gday Gra,
Just finished converting and re-attaching your images above, from BMP(very large) to JPG(small). While it is possible to attach BMP images, we would prefer that for photos, etc you try and stick with JPG files. Quality is still OK in a browser but file size is significantly reduced.
Nice job with the Turbo Roaster by the way... 8-)
Mal.

Turbo Roaster
Hi All
I have been toying with the idea of building one of these roasters for months now and with Koffee Kosmos Great detailed build been inspired.
So off to do some shopping to pick up few items that I did not have like a turbo oven for one and some other bits to make this happen.
I finished the build today but have not tryed her out yet, Lets hope I have got it right I will give it a run tomorrow with some PNG....
Cheers Gra....Ps thanks to K.K for getting me going....
