had a gene since august 2007 and the only maintenance i have done is wipe it down, wash the drum and chaff collector.

I roast on average once a week.

Dont think about it, just do it

Hi folks,
After much deliberation, and reading lots of good reviews, I have put a deposit on a Gene Cafe. As often happes after committing to a purchase, I have now come across a few grumbles from tht US about heatng elements not being very robust....ENTER DOUBT YET AGAIN !!!!!
Can anyone shed some light on this issue....have there been any problems with our 240V models, or is it more of a problem for the 110V version??
Hoping someone can ease at least one of my two minds !!!
