Thanks guys...I thought three times in a row (out of only seven) could be deemed more than "sometimes happens" and hence perhaps an issue...but will see how it goes.
The roasts have all been rippers, and its easy to use so Im pretty stoked with it otherwise...

How do you get the spring-loaded detent to stay in place when you open the lid to put the beans in. Mine just catapults itself across the room.Comment

when i open the lid of my Gene to put beans in, there is no spring attached to annything pr interfering with the lid....could you be a bit more specific, Rong?
