Trailer mounted Dudley? He could tour!

Nice purchase Alchemist - I reckon buying second hand from Dennis is a very good bet - now you have a beautifully run-in machine.

No doubt you will keep him in the manner in which he has become accustomed...
Dudleys "as new" appearance is certainly a testimony to Dennis care and attention.  Ill be sure to keep this up    We have a large storage room in our house which will provide a perfect environment for Dudley (and green beans), so with the right exhaust ducting, this will become the micro-roastery

I guess in a few weeks I will be able to see your smoke signals indicating a fresh batch of beans are on their way... ill be there if you need a hand "calibrating Dudley"
Thanks Aaron - Ill definitely be calling on you for cupping feedback!

Nice one Sam, will you be bringing Dudley along to give a roast demo at one of our beanbay pickups?
Nice one Trevor  Perhaps some beans would suffice instead?  ;D

    Pix will definitely follow!

started a topic Dudley to become a "Sand-Groper"!

    Dudley to become a "Sand-Groper"!

Over the last year or so, Ive been amazed and humbled at the increasing demand for my roasted beans from family, work colleagues, friends (and now, friends of friends!)  While Im still very much operating in the realm of keen hobbyist, it has become apparent my "duelling correttos" just arent cutting it  :

So after some reasoned negotiations between myself and Mrs. Alchemist (involving the usual begging, grovelling, flogging and me lying prostrate on the floor before her) I recently got permission to buy a commercially made roaster. 8-)

Fast forward a couple of weeks, and Ive just spent the day in Sydney being shown the ropes, and Dudley is set to be crated and freighted  to West Oz in early December!  To say I am excited is an understatement!

I just wanted to thank Dennis and Sue for their wonderful hospitality in putting me up this weekend and to also make special mention to Dennis for showing me the ropes on Dudley.  Youve shortened my learning curve by weeks if not months!!!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I hope I can return the favour if ever you find yourselves in Perth

    Cheers,

    Sam

PS: Dudley is such a CS institution, theres no way I could consider re-naming him!

Working...
