    Re: Mega Popper

sorry team TG is right, it was just a mock up i was fooling around with a while ago........ it was never even turned "on" it does sort of look like i could have with the wires running down the back ......

I agree 240 should not be fooled with and this would be very dangerous and illegal even (?)

i would not run anything like that, i pulled the popper apart as the plastic had a very weird smell (like some one had put cardamon spice in it and run it?) its in the "parts cupboard" in case i am looking for spares or something

please do not try something like that at home, sorry for taking the thread OT

that said a breville crazy popper fits very well on top of the BM here is a much safer idea......

whats that lurking in the background.......... the beginings of a KKTO?

I think the picture may be a piss take.Roll Eyes
Read the first 3 posts again then look at the pic.

Why do threads of this nature always turn into a p*ssing contest? the simple fact of the matter is the wiring looks suspect, no one cares whose right or whose wrong, 240 volts can kill, leave yer egos at home boys, the message is dont play with 240 volt appliances if you dont know what your doing.
Andy is dead right DONT DO THIS AT HOME

The picture appears to be a "fusion" between a bread maker and a popcorn maker (in my interpretation).
The popcorn maker has been stripped of its plastic outer casing and penetrated the breadmaker. The unprotected or should I say "bare" machine is in fact a lethal weapon and should not be touched.
Some form of protection is always necessary

    I did say
    "If they are correctly connected".
No, what you said, or rather asked, was, "If they are correctly connected and identified, what is the problem?"

I was referring to the comment questioning the core colours of the cable. AM made the following comment:

Blue / Brown and Yellow-Green .... Pleae confirm that is not 240V...

My reply was aimed at this reference.

    ALSO,

    I did say
    "If they are correctly connected".

I made no reference or allusions as to whether this was correctly wired up.

    I also stated:

"Good idea to get it checked by a qualified electrician if not sure. "

Brown, blue and earth (green/yellow) are standard core colours for flexible power applications. The cables have a copper conductor and are sheathed with a coloured insulation. If they are correctly connected and identified, what is the problem?
Incorrect wiring regardless of colour can kill.
    If wired correctly, will work.
Good idea to get it checked by a qualified electrician if not sure.

if the heat gun would have enough airflow to lift the beans.
In a word, no, unless it was a heat gun on steroids.
