It works a treat and is similar to mine. My blower is battery powered though and the weight of 500 grams of beans stops them blowing away. I use one of those anti spatter covers for frying pans for smaller batches.
Not sure if anyone else has used this design - came to me in a flash of inspiration. Found the leaf blower on the side of the road - even had an inbuilt speed control...
I just use 2 sieves like the one shown to hold the beans so they dont get blown away and it cools them from roast temp to room temp in about 30 seconds. The only problem is that it sounds like a jet engine.
