  • HELP..HOW TO put temperature probe in the poper??

    Hello CSers,

I just got DMM with temperature. Now I only got the bead probe (small solid ball contact at the end of wire), it is not the Rod-Like Probe Many of CSers use in the popper, Corretto or KK.

With the Bead Probe, can I use to measure temp from these kind of home roasters? or it has NO WAY to use it unless go and get a new stick probe??

    Thanks.
    C.

You can do anything if you put your mind to it

The question you should be asking, is
In a popper is it of any benefit?

      Was it from us?

If so, you should have got a probe like:

The bead that you are talking about is good for reading air temp or liquid temp, I suspect that in a bean mass it will break pretty quickly.

Reading the bean temp in a popper is tricky as the probe will change the way the beans move and thus change the way they roast.
