10kg of GREEN Beans arrived late Friday..

Late start Sunday - Paper and coffee  


Just over 2 hrs later and 5kg of my special blend has been roasted, bagged and sealed for next weekend.

No 1kg Gene or mega expensive system... Just KISS and a little effort.


So thanks again guys  


Will be doing teh next 5kg lot in another 10 days as teg next Ballet function is on teh 21st.

Then back to self only 8-)

Production line of Greens / cooling and bagging and sealing..  ~1.1kg green in 32 min for the first and about 25 -27 for the next lot etc and teh last lot was about 20..

The trick was dumping and having the next lot ready to GO ASAP... And that the weather is not too cool up here at the moment!

PS. Had my spare TO ready to go as I thought I might pop the thermal OT... But it did not happen...

PPS.  Closer to 2hrs 20 by the time I boxed, cleaned and packed up and left the KKTO to cool down.  I hate sticky labels - 8 to a page... Should use a mail merge as my graphics and text were cropped on some of the labels.. Also better to apply beforehand and not on a full bag.

Get the feeling this is not a normal Sunday  ;D

Now to do the lawn edges    8-)

UPDATE:


85 cups
13L of milk
12 short black cups
1.75Kg of beans used
1.5Kg donated as raffle prizes
DCM water tank topped up twice (Is 3L)

Note:

Standard collapsing table is the WRONG HIGHT
Sunbeam Bang Bang empted 3 times plus
Macap M5 doser was a god send..

So many wanted Hot Choc for the kids and only 3 requests for Soy and only one came down to a stated allergy...

Only found one half drunk cup at clean up time and only about  10 sugar satchels used. I did ask for people to try first - If they liked sweet = OK but wanted to get people to try.  Most stated that it was strange to not have to add and that they wanted to know what the machine was as it did not make bitter coffee   ;D 8-)

My wife stepped up and in my break went through 4L of milk..  She commented that people wanted Flat White / Latte or Caps - She stated she added Chocdust and tried to get extra foam for the caps...   However in essence they were the same..   No one complained and most came back or commented how great the coffee was  

Long blacks were also served but they had access to a Urn to add water to their taste.

Lots of people wanting to know if I was Roasting and if they could buy  :

I had to say NO...  In addition most were amazed that some one would have this as a home set up  ;D   And that one might Home roast or even grow their own  8-)

They need edumication  :-?

So ANDY - Once again Thanks for the beans.. Have another 2Kg to roast this weekend for Prizes at the Graduation..  Any luck and those that had a coffee and or  won the last lot: will spend up big on tickets for the coming event..

I still like my coffee, but without a good  set-up, I would not be wanting to do this on any regular basis.   Fun but hard work  ;D
