    Hi all,

Happy to report after 2 weeks at the hospital, my Gene is alive and well again

Again demonstrate the great service provided by the sponsors - Thank you Renzo & Ofra at Di Bartoli

    Re: Gene No Heat

As someone who has taken a Gene apart - the only fuse is on the back and it takes out the whole shebang. So if the drum still turns, it is probably the heater.

I assume the fan still spins?

    Thanks guys,

It does feel like the heating element 2mcm!

I bought it from a sponsor and still have 2.5 months warranty left. I just wanted to make sure its not something silly like a fuse before rocking up at their doors feeling like a fool ..

    Thanks again
    Francis

I havent encountered this particular problem with my Gene but would highly recommend that you talk to the importer "Avacuppa". If your machine is in warranty I wouldnt play around with it, just send it in to them.

Some months back I had an issue with my unit (thankfully was still in warranty, not by long though) and they were brilliant.

    Gene No Heat

    Hi guys...

Disaster have struck my beloved Gene

The roaster does not heat up anymore for some reason. It was working fine last Saturday and when I tried to turn it on for a roast today.. it just decided to not heat up.. the drum still spins like normal.. some weird noise coming from the heating elements/ motor before it just completely stop heating up ..

Just wondering if anyone have ever had that problem.. did the gene died on me?

    Thanks for any insight

    Francis
