Anyone want to hazard a guess at the final prices?

Over here most commercial roasters of that size end up going for thousands of dollars. The roaster that Poundy got would have sold here for well over $5,000US most likely. There is a very high demand for the smaller commercial roasters here in the states and they usually go for a premium price.

With all that said however its quite possible that these roasters may go for a very low price given the sellers poor description and photos as well as it not being a recognized name brand.

Im still curious as to whether or not each drum on it can really roast 2kgs as from the picture of it it appears to be far too small to handle that big a load.

I have also asked if it is 3 phase or single as well

Anyone have any thoughts on how much it will sell for?

the $70.00 really seems a bit cheap

            All,

Beware of nut glazing equipment posing as coffee roasters.

Theres no extraction facility and most of the heat will be vented out of the front port.

If it was cheap enough, you could possibly add a front cover.

              All,

The roaster has been withdrawn from the auction due to an error.

              Too good to be true....

I think the error was that the seller expected to get a lot more money for it.

Or the the items were not really as advertised...all attempts to make contact with the vendor failed to elicit any response...if the vendor had responded to enquirers and the items were legit & as advertised, the prices would have taken care of themselves with people bidding them up.....no response to bidders & prospective bidders enquiries should be enough for anyone to keep well away. Ahhhh ebay!

I know this auction was a bit smelly, but dont let that turn you off internet auctions.

I have completed lots of transactions through ebay, and as long as you are smaer, and do your homework you can get some great buys.

I research my product and seller. look at the sellers history especially for expensive buys.... I try and steer clear of sellers with less than 100 or so trades. Some offer PayPal protection which is pretty good.

There are a lot of good buys on the US site in particular.

I got an email back from the seller saying that they hadnt ever actually tried roasting coffee in the roaster. They were going to do some testing and probably put it back on eBay...

I like the use of "probably", as in probably not.

I dont think well see it again.

                                What would the neighbors think?

Prob think they moved next door to krakatoa when the 100kg of smoke residue started billowing out of the afterburner. ;D

Pretty cheap freight on it though.
