Im hoping to make something which holds more beans. ATM it holds about 300g.
I recently bought a sieve at a $$ shop to do just that.

It looks like a cake tin with a fine mesh bottom.
The top edge has a lip so if you carefully cut that bin lid to size the sieve should fit nicely.
    Similar to this pic.

Here is my new setup. I upgraded from 2 poppers ;D

Got the BM for $25 and just the usual Ozito HG mounted on a drill stand.

60L bin with ceiling fan blowing air up through the beans.

    Here is my workspace.

So far the largest roast I have done is 500g which came out great! Still waiting on the new USB DMM.

Thanks for all the great ideas you provided.

    Hi ACog

Im pleased with the way this turned out - even won me a prize!  [smiley=thumbup.gif]

I see no problems with scaling, as long as attention is paid to the usual issues of increased input power requirements, bean agitation, etc.

    Hi Brainiac,

Thats quite a nice looking machine youve got there. I wonder if you could scale it up for larger batches?
