Yeah..... >
Feeling left out here Dennis :P,
Mal.
Ill be roasting tomorrow evening so will try taking some pics then.
Thanks for all those kind adjectives Robusto - maybe I really just have an undiagnosed mental illness ;D Anyway, worst comes to worst, Ill get a job of some kind to support this hobby of mine. :-/
Congratulations on your new venture, Dennis. And may I say you are brave, daring, fearless, admirable and enterprising. I sincerely hope it becomes a great success.
My Mum turned 90 last Thursday. She is one of 10 girls, 5 of whom are still alive - 80, 84, 90, 92 and 94 respectively. The 80yo sister flew over from Italy with her 85yo husband so that they could be with Mum on her birthday. The whole family got together today. It was a real hoot as they are a lively, funny, and generous bunch of people.
When Mum was in her early 20s she worked for a coffee roaster in Alexandria, where she met my Dad, before emigrating to AU. Dad was a backyard coffee roaster and I have vivid memories of him using a type of bbq/spit contraption to roast beans.
He left some notes...profiles and blends that I have been trying to recreate with various success. Im hoping "Dads Blend" and one or two others will be a hit!
I hope the daintree was good to you guys and that on Monday you enjoy the feeling of handing in the letter.
Good luck with this new venture, Im sure there will be many eager eyes, ears and typing fingers along for the ride.
