Some posters will inevitably joke about the roaster upgrade process. However as I finish the end of 8x 250gm Hottop roasts which take me about 4 hours    the thought of doing the same thing in one roast is very appealing.  
Now I know you could buy 4 Hottops or Genes and do a similar thing but the thought of having multiple machines of this level is not very appealing.  
Congratulations Dennis on such a courageous purchase and good luck with the installation and setup.

Wow. Awesome Dennis. If you master it in the next few days the first offerings will be nice and mature by Christmas day.  And then you can spend Christmas Day roasting for New Years Day.  

Then you can go commercial by Easter  and by this time next year the Dennis Diedrich brand will be a household word.

Cant believe roasters dont come with a digital timer so went out and bought one.

Seem to have great control over the roast. With variable airflow and the temp calibrated in tenths of a degree, I was able to stage and complete a roast within the generic parameters. Am obviously still a long way from being a roastmaster though having lots of fun learning.

Terrific to see the beans absolutely clean of chaff and having that nice, even, soft gloss on every bean. Pity I had to take them way past 2nd crack to coat the drum with coffee oils, and still have quite few more kilos to go before its fully commissioned.

Nethertheless, I can see myself in coffee nirvana land! It will be a real struggle to go back to my day job tomorrow.

If you drink enough coffee you wont need a day job as youll be up all night.
