Sorry to bring up old posts. But I just bought one from the tip shop for $12 and this thread was perfect. Runs a treat. Now for a lid and holder

I have had my BM modified now, by sparky mate It has a switch very much like Gazzs. I purely wanted it to start/stop straight away.

Ill start roasting with it tomorrow, when the weather is cooler - here in Sydney

Christop, I have just discovered your post. I have had this same model (BB200) for ten years now. There is a delay of approximately 15 minutes where you will think the machine is not doing anything, but it is actually warming the ingredients prior to starting the mixing cycle. Do not lift the lid...just wait a while and I am sure it will start.

Robusto, I have pressed the start button it didnt start the BM. It just began the count down.

Chris, the 1hr 30 min displayed sounds like the actual time for the dough cycle to complete, rather than a countdown to a start time as per a timer.

Have you pressed the start button and seen what happens?

thats right, you cant bypass the pre-set time in this machine

In my BM the electrics were shot , so I removed them completely.

Get your sparky mate to simply send the power leads to the motor with a switch, from an old powerpoint in the line. As the BM case is plastic it is easy to fit in.

Thanks for that. I was hoping as it was an older, BM that I wouldnt need to have it modified. I have a mate who is an electrician, if I simply tell him what you said is that all he would need to know? I trust from what you are saying, until this is done, I also wont be able to bypass the preset delay for an immediate start?

Robusto, I thought I was but Im not sure. After I pressed dough, it displayed it would be 1.5 hr till it started and I couldnt reduce the time by holding down the down arrow to take it to 0. It seemed that I couldnt bypass the preset timer I went to Breville site and downloaded a manual, but couldnt see how to bypass the preset times.

Chris, are you sure you are pressing the right buttons? Sounds as though you are using the timer feature instead of the immediate start.

Instruction manuals can be downloaded from the breville website -- they dont list all models but by downloading one youll get the idea.

Hi Chris,
I use one of these BMs, you will have to by-pass or remove the electronic circuit board as you cannot get more than about 12 minutes continuous running and then it has pauses in the cycle.

The best way is to put in a mains switch and wire directly to the motor, this lets you stop and start at will and the motor runs for as long as you require.

A few weeks ago I bought the above breakmaker, and yesterday got my Ryobi head gun

After I had selected the dough cycle, it had a preset function to countdown till it started (The lowest time I could get it down to was, 1hr 30min, appearing on a small digital display). I was not manually able to hold down the down arrow to decrease the time, for an immediate start.

I have had a look on google, to find the manually for this breadmaker, but no success.

So my question is, does anyone have any experience with this BM or a similar model? Is anyone aware, on how possible to press a sequence of buttons and bypass the preset count down?

Ps, I bought this second hand and did not get a manually within.
