    Re: My new Coretto setup

I run mine on the dough cycle and for the first two minutes it stops and starts but then it runs continuously after the two minute period. So far I have had it going for 16 minutes but I believe it will keep going for up to 25 minutes. I dont start the heat gun until after the first 2 minutes. It has a pause every 30 seconds for a couple of seconds but this does not affect the roast. I have only done one roast on mine but will be doing another this week. I hope to have it running for longer than 14 minutes.

All is well with my replacement BB280  ;D. It goes 30 mins and the thermal cutout switch is not affected by the heatgun. I will post my Austalian Capricorn Coast details in the appropriate section sometime today. My bean cooler is working a treat. Thanx to the CSer who first worked out sucking air through the beans to cool.

        Re: My new Coretto setup

Hey Cremakid, you just inspired me to build my own corretto. After some months of using my H/G pot roaster, with the gearboxes on the motors breaking, up to fourth motor I decided to compulsorly aquired the breadmaker.I built it the other day after seeing cremakids photos.
It works great after I moved the Tempreture cut out sensor. So now the BB400 is back in use after laying idle for many years.

goodone Martybean. I guess the old tried and true method is the best. With all the time and money consumed trying to build all therse other wizzbang roasters its just not worth the hassle. I reckon we should hold an annual Coretto thanksgiving day to honour the CSer who first brought this idea to us and made home roasting the joy that it is.

Sounds like an idea, but with all the festivals on these days the Aroma fest in Sydney, celebrate the bean in Melbourne pelople tend to meet up at these events and discuss their passion for roasting

                Re: My new Coretto setup

Yeah, but just think about it. What one thing has been such a breakthrough for us home roasters and those who would like to be. Particularly those who cant afford the big bucks for a factory made home roaster.
Look at like forums around the world and people everywhere are adopting the Coretto method even if they just call it a BM/HG setup.

                  Re: My new Coretto setup

You may need to do a search on the web and find out who came up with the idea

                    Re: My new Coretto setup

It was first designed by a CS member hence its name. I spelt it wrong it should be "Corretto"

                    See CS link
                    http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1154442377

Anyway this subject may have to be further discussed in another section. Any ideas where?

                      Re: My new Coretto setup

Corretto is a Coffee Snob member and log in Name

Corretto stands for (shot of espresso "corrected" ; with a shot of liquor)

                      AKA as Belinda

I searched within CS site and came up with this basic info
However I have known about it for a while when I was reading the many replies to posts on ROASTERS section "what do you use to home roast"
(Many other roasters on display on this post)

Correttos posts with other members and mods tell the story

Also corretto is mentioned in the Wiki

Of course it was Corretto aka Belinda who fashioned the idea, right on this forum it says so in Wikipedia.
Im now wondering if she was the first person to use a H/G Breadmaker setup?
