LOVE that idea, Im sure you could put those into production for all the other bread maker owners too.

The whole thing is mad geinus work of art in true CS fashion.

Ive just completed my new PID Corretto.  

Changes from MKI:
1) Heat gun attaches to the lid and so flips out of the way when the roast is done
2) Re-flashing the chip can now be done though the serial port - saving messing about with parallel ports.
3) New panel to replace the bread maker panel (looks familiar)
4) The heat gun attaches with a plug and so can be completely removed.
4) Second (on/off) power output for the stirrer and heat gun fan
Other stuff
The bread maker was picked from the road side during bulk rubbish week - price is right.
MKI was a square bread maker, this one is rectangular - square is better IMHO
