(maybe Andy) suggested changing something in an .ini file for the DataMonitor program
Yep, you can change the sample rate(plotting interval) in the preferences.txt from 1000 milliseconds to 5000 milliseconds, this will take a reading every 5 seconds an will produce a nicer curve........but i personally like the probe @ 1000 milliseconds better

i have posted instructions on how to do it in the Roast monitor thread for continuity.....click here

Thanks Warren - you did the hard work that I avoided with my "use the search button" post (inspired by AM, no doubt :P).

Did some elephant beans today. The bead sensor was all over the place with temperatures. I doubt that changing the potting intervals will fix mine because I really think its not reading the bean temperature but just reading air temp. The temperature goes up and down with the element as per my other graph. I guess if I use the s/steel probe I will have to drill into the pot.

The elephant beans went okay, still only got to RSC at 21 mins. Cracks are nice and clear with this bean though. Previous roasts seemed to be quicker, but I suppose different time of the year temp wise so maybe thats a factor? I just hope I put it back together okay after playing with the grommet idea.

It all comes down to the losses in the lead that is providing the Voltage and current to the end product.

Thus if it is short and in good condition any losses should be minimal...
Never to old to take on some good advice" Cheers AM" I have been running my setup through power boards manly for convenience then any thing, I just roasted some Honduras from last bean bay and I run a 15amp lead strait to the KKTO and another to a bower board for my computer and other bits both from different GPOs  Boy what a surprise as to the way the TO reacted good stuff Mate Thanks as always

          Cheers Gra..

Look... Nothing special... Any good tec or electrician will tell you the same..  I guess it might be how and or in what context you ask; as to what answer you get.

Me; I just prattle on, cause if I make it short... Someone wants the detail.. But when I go there and try to explain it... I loose everyone   ;D ;D ;D ;D

1:  Any times / ramp rates that you care to share  as to B4 and After ???

2:  Any others like to confirm; such that there might be some more runs on the board.

Thanks Gra for getting back to one and all.

PS. This goes for any and all appliances - the shorter the lead and the better quality the better the voltage stability and current at the end product. Be is a Heat gun / bread maker / KKTO / Hot Top or even a Behmor.  If it has heating elements  then give it every chance to work correctly..

I use the temp sensor as recommended by KK, i have screwed it into one of the holes in the Pot and it works perfectly.

Id also be keen to see the results B4 and after, havent had time to fit a roast in to test it.........

Sorry Guys no graph I was a bit f lusted :-?with trying to slow the ramp to F/C something I didnt need to do before (forgot to save profile) :-/

I normally run the TO on full power and back off after F/C around 12:00--13:00min from a cold start but today I had to back off to make 10:00min to F/C the graph was like a yo-yo I will be more prepared next time...

Gra.. Ps: had to do a reinstall on the laptop lost all my profiles no backup :-[

                            Hi All
How much horizontal movement do you have in the agitator shaft? There has always been movement and the shaft is very grooved.
I siliconed my inner pot in last week, did one roast since that was fine and now the agitator jams after while regardless of height of agitator on shaft.

I may need to break the silicone holding the inner pot in position to see if that fixes the issue??
Once i work out how to display some video i will post the action of the agitator under load.

                              Hi Mal
I have conducted several hours of testing under dry & full roasting conditions the full diameter (double) agitator blade with springs fitted

This has revealed that its pretty much eliminated this load strain

I have placed an order for some double blades to be laser cut (they will be made available soon)
The blades will be slightly different to the test units in the way they are cut to easily accept/fit the spring

The operation is very smooth see video
                              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_ewkisDF5o

This is a photo I took of the double blade with springs fitted

                                Great looking design.
From the look of that a new shaft would be required as its double sided not single.

I think i definitely need to order one, how soon will a shaft and double agitator be available for sale??

I cant roast without one and dont want to go back to the corretto.
