The answer to your question resides in the roasters forum http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1124115705

Re: i-roast 2
I have had one for 2+ years. Easy to use, good results.
Some disadvantages:
* VERYloadloud machine ("i-roar")
* limited to about 150g per roast
* tends to have limited life, about 400 roasts according to some; 2 - 2.5 years according to others
* difficult / expensive / impossible / not worth the hassle to repair
However, many buy another i-roast 2 when the first machine fails. (Other move to a drum roaster: Behmor, Gene, Hottop.)
