    Ben I was using a wooden lid same size etc but this one wont catch fire ;D.
    No difference really with the lid but the thread height adjustment makes for smaller tweaks than before.
    Usually after a couple of minutes the lid makes a gap for chaff.
    Still love this roasting method best.

    Wow, thats some serious lid action there - well done!

    Is there somewhere for the chaff to escape when the lid is fully closed or do you leave it open a crack?

    Looks suave! Is the opening smaller than with the BM lid? Has it made any difference?

    After my lid caught fire (almost), I got a mate to make some new parts. Just working on the HG mount and then we are done, but roast came out fine using cable ties and tape
