Re: New to Roasting
All I can say it wasnt me in the Hummer....I did drop into Angermanagement though for a roasting session.
Ok in summary the final product was a 60/40 HT/KKTO Double roasted special blend - namely Brazil naturals and Honduras Los Bancos.
The story...fired up the HT, got to see all the fancy colours changing and smells, first crack hit 202 - thought it was a good time to hit the cooling...ok here we go (the mood lighting effected my eyes) .....you cant just press the fan button the B model, you have to press the select first...in the fumble that followed the beans were ejected.....OOPS
Lucky AM had his roaster going - double roast salvage, dumped the beans into his roaster to get to second crack and an inch of its roasting life.
After cooling the beans were inspected...hmm pretty close, proof is in the tasting - will crack on Wed night and guessing the shelf life is about a couple of days max. But cant wait.... I think, if I survive anyone up for special double roast blend ?? lol
In short good session for me - thanks to AM, learned quite a bit just fire up and listen in short just. Few little extras I need get like lighting to help with the roast, some whiteout to see the damn buttons, But overall successful from my point of view in a strange way - your gonna make mistakes but thats learning.
Thanks again to AM for hosting looking forward to the 6th. Pity the 60/40 wont last that long sure it will be a great coffee !! ;D

As to the eject switch I reckon it would be better as one of these below, if yours is the same as the old D model if the power flicks off then on again it auto dumps too
