How funky would it be to plug a Behmor1600 into a USB port and have full control of the fans, heater, afterburner, light and choice of 2 drum speeds?

Today Dad and I had a play with our prototype USB driven Behmor and Im very happy to say it worked very well.

Ive been pondering a similar setup using an Arduino board to control the TO on my roaster. Wont have quote as many things to play with/control, but should be a fun little project.

I was having a read over at "homeroasters" about some one doing something a bit like this by having the ability to "load a profile" and it doing the roast.

thought it was a good idea

(dont think it was a Behmor)

Hmmm... with a small modification yes it could but it would only monitor one and drive the second one the same as the first.

Very nice work Andy and Dad!
I had turned a Behmor manual (removed boards and thermostats)with each component on a toggle switch and the main elements on a variac. It does help a lot having the added control especially on the last leg. My blog/www has a couple pics.
