My new thermocouple from jaycar is not working with my DIY roast controller. The problem seems to be that the probe is connected electrically to the connectors and as soon as I insert it into my popper I cant get any readings as the connectors become earthed.
This points more to the likelihood that theres a fault with your Popper or even your Domestic Installation (your house wiring). Id get a licensed sparky to check out the Popper and if this checks out OK, then you need to have the House checked out.

Anyway, Im after a new thermocouple where the probe is electrically isolated from the connectors.
Can someone test the two that are available in beanbay?
