I expect Ill make a downloadable template of where the drill hole should be.
Just wondering if there has been any progress on the template for mounting the probe.

    Hi CSrs,

Pity the Behmore basket axel is not tubular, would like to see a TC probe inside the basket but would not doubt that Andy and Mals solutions would be perfectly satisfactory.

Thanks for the verbal (?) schematics Andy.  Cant wait to break out the drill, screwdrivers and soldering iron, tear up the warranty book and get modifying...

The other way is to use the "CS bead thermocouple" and poke it inside the door.  A CSr here did that and got good results too.
Have tried the "Bead" t/c in this way too and can confirm it works very well. Very little, if any, smoke leakage past where the cable disrupts the door-seal and in the limited number of roast batches Ive done so far, theres no sign of any kind of permanent depression in the door-seal rubber.

Will definitely go for the new s/s probe once the "Kit" is available though - Really looking forward to it I must say...

As an aside, the last few roast batches completed with the Behmor have produced simply amazing results in the cup; easily up there with the best Ive ever managed here at home and commented on by several imbibers..... 8-) Beaut little roaster this

    In this setup...

The roaster has been drilled in the top, back of the left hand side panel and the CS stainless probe has been screwed in there.

When we release the USB kit for the roaster we will make a recomendation that the CS stainless probe is mounted there so everyone, everywhere are running the same configuration and then comparing readings across the country (or planet) will be similar.

The top, back, left is also an area of the roaster without wiring to save some danger during installation and use!

I expect Ill make a downloadable template of where the drill hole should be.

    Measuring temp in a Behmor

Really enjoying the roasts with my new Behmor.  The next step beckons.  Whats the best way to measure and log temperatures inside the Behmor.  I know I can buy the CS USB thermocouple etc but how is that best used with the Behmor to get useful data.
Working...
