Re: Behmor drum latch disengaging
No problems Fishie All you need to do is wire the clasp back so as it dose not catch on the chaff tray.. This can happen if you dont make Shaw that the latch is not closed flush.Originally posted by 676872696864010 link=1295416583/0#0 date=1295416583Had quite a few issues with my Behmor, and the latch on the drum dissengaging
Cheers Gra..

Fishie... I 4give ya...Originally posted by 555A405B5A56330 link=1295416583/3#3 date=1295423425Sorry if my post has been taken as a winge...
I was only asking fellow behmor roasters if this was one of the little
nuiances that are the quirks to this machine. Have been pulling out some great roasts and have been happy.
( Andy this was in no way an attack, just seeing if this was a quirk )
To this end i apologise for posting this message about my problems.
It is easy to forget or miss understand that the item is Supported by Andy and not a CS product as such... Many CS members use and do provide feedback and wish lists to Andy directly but with more general questions on the forum as to use etc.
Faults, however should always be taken directly back to Andy / Supplier in the first OR it might be seen as a winge AND without giving the Supplier the chance to correct it first.....
Andy does tend to be busy at times (Bean bay in particular) so also another reason to e-mail him direct and not via the forum..... Andy is more of teh back-room person re CS, so does not always get to hang out here with the rest of us
Thus keep roasting, reading the posts, the special forums and enjoy the often bumpy ride ;D

email him mate. Best way.

I dont really understand why someone would publicly post what appears to be a whinge, about something that is essentially, a possible warranty issue. Andy is one of the most pro-active people I know and if given a fair opportunity to evaluate your Behmor problem(s), he will take the most appropriate action to sort it out for you, in very short order.
Seems the right thing to do, to give a vendor the opportunity to sort things out for you before making a public issue out of it....
Mal.

Behmor drum latch disengaging
Had quite a few issues with my Behmor, and the latch on the drum dissengaging and spilling beans, as well as jamming the drum during the start of the roast. And as since you cannot restart a roast the beans become throw away. Has anyone else had this issue. I have tried to ensure that the left hand static bracket is straight and lubed up, only recieved my roaster before new years ( thanks andy ).
