Below is a pic of my heater.

Its not too difficult to replace. There are two good sets of instructions on the web, one at avacuppa, and another at the coffeetime wiki. I used both.

If there is no heat, then it is pretty likely to be the heater ... But contact avacuppa before buying it, they are very helpful.

E4 is "Increase of the temperature in the temp. sensor 2 is detected" and = "Heater disconnection fan or sensor broken"

Perhaps its this, though give them a call first.

    Hi all,
My gene cafe roaster is comming up with an e4 fault.
It is turning but there is no heat.
l guess it is the element or heat sensor,it is out of warranty so l will have to fix it my self .Has anyone done this operation before.
    cheers
    Where are you located ?

See ya supplier for assistance, may be just the Fan OR Heater ?

As it is dealing with High Voltages and you have to disassemble, it could well mean a Licensed persons. As such your supplier may or may not provide the part directly to you, as not defined as User Replaceable part.

    Then again who knows...

Try the Sponsor / Supplier first.
