The Quest has the worst and most dangerous wiring that I have ever seen on a domestic roaster.
That is terrible news!!!  I love the design of this machine, looks like a mini professional roaster.  My wish list just took a blow.  :-/

Thanks for the tip Andy, the Quest is something Im looking at for my next roaster, maybe the Hottop might be a better idea.

Well the Quest is up and roasting. Damage was just a bent cooling tray and finger guard around the roast drum - even the triple boxing couldnt protect it from EMS. Now to learn how to use the thing better...

Please get it checked by a sparky before you plug it in.
My thoughts exactly. Quest checks out okay, damage is only cosmetic.

Yes, they build the power/fan control right onto the back of the pots rather than use well built modules. At least the earth was connected well.

Unfortunately it has suffered a bit of a hit in transit.

The Quest has the worst and most dangerous wiring that I have ever seen on a domestic roaster. Live 240v bare wires about 1mm from the chassis and no low voltage controls. I expect after a hit in the side it will at best trip earth leakage breakers. Be warned, be careful.

Bugger Hope the situation is quickly resolved, please keep as informed of your progress as your experience could be helpful with others deciding on whether or not to purchase the M3.

    Hi all,

Long time reader, first timer poster.

Have tried a few times contacting the manufacturer through B2B websites etc to no success.
If Chris or anyone else who knows, I would be interested in getting the contact details for the seller in Taiwan (that works).

    Many thanks!

Indeed chris fantastic flavours in the cup (plunger) with Peru Ceja de Selva 3 days post "Easy-Roast". And hazbeans Ghimbi just superb, done as a more hands on roast.  One excited noob roaster  I look forward to hearing more of your M3 roastery experiences

    That was quick!

It was a pleasure to drop in last weekend, one of the highlights of our all too short Yorke Peninsula holiday.

Pics loaded fine, looks like a good start.

Lets know how it goes, there is definitely a learning curve with this machine!
