Re: New drum roaster Rotate Fun 300

I was not suppose to spam , sorry . I want to buy a roaster my self and i found this one.

Its the same price as the Behmor.
But maybe the behmor is a better buy? It just seems that with this roaster you have more freedom(?) , cause you can roast how long you want and with any temperature , and temperature drop you want after 1C. Maybe its possible on a Behmor by opening the door? So the time between 1C and 2C is stretched.

Re: New drum roaster Rotate Fun 300

I was busy in the past few weeks, did not see some people raise some question about my experience.
So far, I am pretty happy with this small unit.

I use a camping stove to roast bean with this Fun300.
Its far better than a portable stove on tune the fire power.
However, there is no reference or scale on my camping stove, so the heating adjust is a issue  for me.
So far I never can duplicate my roasting with this machine.

I also have used a heat gun from my previous "heatgun+bread maker" set.
Its good for adjust the heat, but never got a way to fix the heatgun.

Back to this drum roaster, I feel it looks better than other similar price one (my opinion).
But the hole or gap inside the drum roaster, got some small bean stuck inside every now and then.
I try to use big bean (AA, supremo etc..), otherwise I need to shake the roaster when it stuck.

Another most annoyed me thing is the chaff.
The chaff drop into fire from the bottom of the drum, and after two batch roasting, the chaff build up a bit and get fired some time.
I have to blow off the chaff after finish two batch (or even between each batch).
Otherwise will leave a fire mark on my camping stove.

The bottom line of this roaster is good value, easy to operate.
Dont think there is any safety issue (Made in Taiwan instead of China).
I would buy it again or recommend it to friend.
