My hand built coffee roaster ( lots of photos )

Hi all I'm new to your cool site and to the wonderful world of coffee roasting , to this end I have built my own coffee roaster , this was a big project in both time & money but I don't do things buy halves and i think the look of the unit alone was worth it . any way I have yet to roast a batch yet
(mon is D day) I would love any info re roasting for a newbie and any feed back on the machine desighn or improvements that might be added.

Like the people above very nice looking roaster, Well done putting it together. Am i right by saying the heat comes from the rear of the roaster and not from under the roaster?

Yes it has an oven element and fan pushing the heat around

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing mr Primate is also the name behind some damn fine custom steel bike frames, but regardless the craftsmanship and ingenuity on show here is just... wow. Please keep us informed about how this thing goes!
