Good to hear KK. My KKTO trial unit is still going strong after 3.5 years with the original Tiffany TO only dying a few months ago.

I'm a good chance for being up to help Kickstart the next design.

KK are you able to give any idea of timeframe?

My original Tiffany TO only just stopped working last week ( only the fan has failed ) heat is working fine
I have replaced it with a new TO with a light to see the roasting beans

Sorry there is not a solid time frame as the presentation needs to be first class
I am currently waiting on the web developer

KK, any estimate of where the price point will be if the KKTO V2 goes ahead?

No final $ dollar numbers as yet ? How much would you be willing to pay for a 1 kg roaster
There are 12 significant enhancement changes

The final cost will be determined on how robust the roaster is made ( but I won't go cheap and nasty )
I am working on a fully automated plug and play module for user entered profiles, and I am hoping it won't cost as much as the roaster

                We'll stay tuned.

How much will someone pay? It depends whether something is priced to slot into a spot in the market, priced on build quality or both.

Well I've stated my budget - if it's in there, ill be upgrading to your V2, KK. ;-)

Ahhh I've been drooling over the new KKTO build since I emailed you, KK! I'm almost back home to Aus so I think it's time to release it so I can get the first one.

Why not get a 2nd behmor? Two 450g roasts at once = 900g. Also good if blending post roast. Cheaper option, it's what I'm considering doing

I wouldn't rely on the Behmor roasting 450g (1lb) consistently under all conditions. If you check the Behmor site it states "The Behmor 1600 is fully tested to roast up to 450g (1lb) of coffee at a time under standard conditions", which translated means only under ideal conditions. Mine roasted 1lb successfully for a short time but not anymore. In reality its a consistent 300-350gm roaster under all/most conditions.

yup same here. realistically the behmor roasts best around the 300-350g range max imho

hmmm... would be nice if there was a way to set these up with some sort of electronic control (similar to what Andy played around with) from the factory

you could set yourself up a nice little load balanced cluster of behmors

now that would be some clever and just plain cool engineering with hardware and software

Yup. A little over 300g of green beans usually delivers 250-260g of roasted beans from my Behmor. I've never tried to roast much more than that and I find 250g roasts suit my rate of use pretty well.
