You know, you could always try adding a 'smokey' roasted coffee flavour to some meat instead
I've used ground coffee in rubs for smoking which has yielded some interesting results but given how horrible burnt coffee beans smell I don't think I'll be using them to smoke anything any time soon!
How awesomely off topic are we getting here! Yes coffee is a good flavour addition for marinades and other things. Agreed though, i wouldn't use the smoke generated from beans for anything.
On this coffee/food note for those reading the thread - here's a tip (got this fron J.Oliver of all sources). Try a good cheddar, honey and freshly ground coffee together. It's a brilliant combination.
