Haha I was so very confused when I saw that change, thinking the forum avatars have been mixed up somehow! I missed Winnie! ;D

use the [Contact Us] top and bottom of every page.

You can also use the roaster safely with the right side cover fan disconnected, the first few models didn't have the side fan and it was only added as extra insurance and airflow over the circuit board.

I'd reckon it'd be easiest to just use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page...

    Thanks Andy
I'll put the side back on, the fan works it just makes a racket because it is unbalanced. How do I order a new fan please?

Roasting with the side cover off the roaster is a little like playing golf in a thunderstorm, you might get away with it but it's not very safe.

All the high voltage stuff is exposed when the right cover is off and could end in tears.

As to why? The exhaust fan (in the exhaust channel, just behind the front panel) is now fighting against the extra volume of air that the fan in the triangle housing is pumping into the other end of the exhaust. It's slowing the extraction from the roast chamber and the temperature in the exhaust channel and chamber will rise. If the chamber wall gets too hot it will blow the thermal fuse and your roaster won't work.

The fans, their speed and volume are tuned to suit the roaster and any change you make will have a cause/effect somewhere else.

I think so, its the one mounted on the side I took off. The exhaust temp got way up to like 190 instead f the 160's when the side is on.

So I've taken the side off the Behmor because the fan has a missing blade and will order said fan from Andy shortly. Thinking it would be OK and cooler to leave the side off whilst doing a roast up here in Darwin I've done a couple of roasts and the roast time seems to have dramatically dropped compared to when the side is on with the fan running....

    Any ideas why?

    Cheers

Which fan is missing a blade? The little one that cools the main board?

I could only guess that having the side off has affected the readings from the temp sensor, which is nearby. Shouldn't be affecting the air intake which comes from the rear inlet.
