There is a concentrate formula of simple green as well, simply add water which would help to keep the cost down

Thanks. Jonathon. I actually did buy some of their oven cleaner, suspecting that this was what people were using.....so I should have that stored out in the possum palace (i.e. my garage) somewhere.Originally posted by Jonathon View PostI've been using the Simple Green oven cleaner version - it works just like regular over cleaners, you spray it on the surface, it foams up and then you wipe it off a minute or two later.
It works really well.

I used the orange Simple Green yesterday to clean my Behmor after 6 roasts when I started to see oils forming on the glass in the door. It definitely does a great job and like Andy said it smells pleasant. After a wipe with paper towels, I then did a dry burn and the roast is like new, all the oils are gone and no odor. If I keep this up it should live a long life and produce many fantastic roasted beans.

Is the only difference between the 'Pounds' and 'Grams' version of the Behmor Plus upgrade that the roast weight numbers on the front are 1/4, 1/2, 1lb instead of 100, 200, 400g or are the temp measurements in degrees F instead of C?

I ordered one too . I was walking the planet when they changed from F to C (in 1970). Reasonably comfortable with F but C is much easier to work with. I also emailed Andy with a link to my questionOriginally posted by lemoo View PostI hope its not in degrees F but it certainly doesn't say that anywhere either
Andy will probably be able to clarify it but I do hope its in C because I already bought one :S

Temp sensor reading for 220-240v 50hz models will display in Celsius and 120v 60Hz models will display in Fahrenheit. FWIW, this is really not a new feature. I can access this info with my old model Behmor 1600 by pressing P1 for side wall sensor temp and P2 for exhaust temp and the values are in Celsius during the roast and cooling cycle. I have the 220-240v 50hz model and part of the very first shipment to the Hong Kong distributor.
The really new and super cool feature is the power level manual mode settings and the drum speed rotation switch.

Yes, temperature is in celsius and the only difference is the mylar overlay on the front of the panel.Originally posted by flynnaus View PostIs the only difference between the 'Pounds' and 'Grams' version of the Behmor Plus upgrade that the roast weight numbers on the front are 1/4, 1/2, 1lb instead of 100, 200, 400g or are the temp measurements in degrees F instead of C?
For some people, having the same looking buttons as their original is important so they can use the POUNDS upgrade, for the rest of us the GRAMS metric face makes more sense. The factory had enough overlays to do the roasters but not the upgrade panels so we landed the POUND version for those that can't wait and the GRAM one will arrive before the end of June. Usage of both are exactly the same.
