The Kaldi looks like a concept with some potential but still some way off from what I saw on the video. Too much variation in bean colour and hot beans popping out the front.

Of course I don't have one. Everyone here can only go off the cultured videos, and reviews. The videos were done with the intention of promoting the roaster in question. Down to the show of wearing gloves, and gas stove a very similar silver to the roaster.

The manual version seems to be a little more effort, to the point of needing four hands. Indeed there is a point in the video where there are two people attending to the machine at once.
That and the quality of the finish has me a little curious as to the quality. It appears light, and I fear that the outside will discolour and rust easily.

Someone buy it and test... So it can be appraised objectively!

I thought that was chaff being ejected? If not, is there difficulty in sorting Bean from chaff, post roast?

I'm encouraged by anything I can completely disassemble and reassemble in good order. The construction is quality stainless with very little electronics to fail. My only concern would be replacement parts and getting those in in a timely manner.

I'm leaning on getting one of these but I haven't completely ruled out the Behmor yet.

            Hi all,
did anyone end up getting one of these Kaldi units?
I was going to take a punt and just get one but it would be great to hear from someone who actually has one.
